Other work we have done on trailers and horse boxes!.

I have a customer that has a transit, with an Ifor Williams horsebox on the back, he asked if we could sort a problem they were having when loading their horses in the box.

The horses would slip, while being loaded using the back ramp.

I went to his yard and had a look, as the box was mounted on a van chassis, it was higher off the ground than a horse trailer, making the ramp quite steep.

We agreed that if I mounted some treads on both front and rear ramps this would stop the horse from slipping, while being loaded and off loaded.

I ordered some aluminium treads from my supplier and fitted them. I decided that aluminium would be both cheaper and longer lasting than hardwood treads.

If you have a problem with your horse slipping while being loaded, and would like me to have a look at curing the problem, please call or email, I will be happy to help.

The new improved ramps are great, the horses are going up and down without any problems now! It’s so much better, we are very pleased.

Thanks for the great work
